BRIEF HISTORY of ANOINTEDŽ

      ANOINTEDŽ, a Wilmington, Delaware based group of Gospel Singers was founded in 1992 by Deloris Barr. They released their first recording, "What An Amazing Child", in December of 1992(CDs & Cassettes). All of the songs were written and arranged by Deloris.

      ANOINTED'sŽ Trade Mark was designed by John Marshall CEO of M-Prints in Wilmington, Delaware. The design concept is by Deloris Barr(Inspired by The Divine Holy Spirit). It is a trademark of Deloris Barr, DeeBarr Productions and is registered at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
      "The Keeper of My Soul", a cut from Anointed's first release, made the charts(#36) in Jackson, Mississippi in November of 1993. To God Be The Glory!
      "A Dreamer's Dream", is the title song on ANOINTED'S second 1996 release (CDs & Cassettes). Ten of the thirteen songs were written and arranged by Deloris Barr.Three of which are Negro Spirituals. The music composition of the title song, is a result of collaboration by Deloris Barr, Jay Edward Wilson and Kenneth Brown, Jr.(Slugger).

      Their title song "A Dreamer's Dream", was featured during DuPont's Annual birthday celebration for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.. This took place on January 18, 1998 at the Playhouse in Downtown Wilmington, Delaware. To God be the glory!

      ANOINTEDŽ received The Gospel Golden Award for "Best Traditional Artist" in Delaware, August of 1997. To God Be The Glory!

Cecil Simmons, Jr. (Keyboard Player), Minister Vincent Gibson (Lead Guitar Player), Frank Maddrey (Bass Guitar Player, Lead & Background Singer), Deacon Jay Edward Wilson (Drummer, Lead & Background Singer), Rose Nell Barr (Lead & Background Singer), and Deloris Barr (Manager, Founder, Lead & Background Singer).
